We DO NOT have this clause in our contract however some service providers do. Please check your contract and if you find this clause then contact your service provider immediately to have them explain the full implications.

The Purchasers's Obligations and Rights
clause 1(n)

"Give notice in writing to the owner 1 calendar month prior to the expiry date of the minimum term specified in the rental agreement should the renter elect to terminate the rental agreement and in the event that no such notice is received the renter accepts that the rental agreement shall continue on the same terms and conditions as the original rental agreement."

For your convenience we have drafted a cancellation letter that you can download and complete with your details - then send to your current provider in order to avoid being locked into an automatic renewal period at the end of your initial rental term.
